    Do you know how to swim?

    Swimming – do you know how?  Here we listen in as Ellen and Pam tell us their experience. I do.  I mean, I couldn’t swim in the Olympics, can’t say I’ve ever done the breaststroke but I can take care of myself in a pool and if I need to, can swim to the other side.  I grew up with a pool in my backyard and my mother would have to drag me in at night because I loved it so much.  Something about being in the water – must be cell memory of the womb but it is so calming to me – I can feel the stress melting…

    Are there charities, organizations that you support?

    Charities. Do you have some organizations or projects that you support / have supported? I have done a few different things over the years – hospice, children’s cancer research and children dealing with loss. Hospice – I was trained as a bedside volunteer.  Once we were assigned a patient, we visited once a week and did whatever the patient wanted.  Sometimes it was sitting there reading a book to them, or chatting or just being.  Sometimes it was laundry.     Have you ever belonged to a book club?

    Book clubs are many and varied in their form. Have you every belonged to one?  Let’s see what Pam and Ellen have to say. I have belonged to several different book clubs over the years and am currently in one. They have all been different, some had only a few members, some have many more and all have morphed over the years to something different than when they started.
